Review: Dinner at the newly renovated Lion Hotel, Farningham

November 3, 2022 in Food & Drink, Reviews

The Lion Hotel has been a much-loved pub and restaurant in Farningham, the village where I live, for a long time. I have many fond memories of celebrating birthdays, mother’s/father’s days and exam results at The Lion when it was a Harvester and more recently a Vintage Inn. The Lion has been a popular spot in the village since the 16th Century when it was the entertainment centre of the village. Even in the 18th Century the then named Black…

It might sound silly but one of the best things about my trip to Morocco last Summer was the breakfast served by the Riads that we stayed at. Although there were some differences from place to place the majority of the breakfasts were made up of various local breads and jams served with mint tea. I particularly enjoyed the square pancakes or Msemen which are a rich traditional, pancake-like bread common to the Maghreb area (specifically Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia).

October 20, 2022 in Beauty, Eco friendly

Having discovered that I really liked the solid cleansers and facial oils from Lush I decided I wanted to replace my regular spray deodorants for one of their more natural, plastic-free options.
