I have to admit I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with maxi dresses. Somehow they always tend to make me look like a sack of potatoes, so when I was offered the chance to review a Maxi Dress from Pink Clove I was excited to see the Paisley Dita Wrap Maxi Dress which comes with a waist-cinching design which actually gives me some shape unlike dresses I have worn in the past!
The Paisley Dita Wrap Maxi Dress comes from Pink Clove’s trend-led collection designed to flatter curvy ladies like myself. It is made from a lovely super-soft jersey fabric and has a full skater style skirt with an elasticated waist which along with the wrap front feature really draws the eye to the waist and creates a shape which highlights my best assets and skims over my tummy.
One of the main things that drew me to this dress, as well as the waist-cinching design was the fabulous paisley design of the skirt which I think is eye-catching and attractive. As someone who usually avoids wearing anything with a pattern, I was a little unsure about it but when I wore it for the first time I was not at all concerned about the design being too bold and in fact, the pattern draws the eye to the long, full skirt making me appear taller and slimmer.
This maxi dress is very comfortable to wear; I was a little concerned about the elasticated waist at first, however, it does not constrict too much and sits nicely without tugging at the skirt material below. The soft jersey fabric feels very natural against the skin and is not too clingy making it a flattering material. A bonus is that the materials are machine washable.
The Paisley Dita Wrap Maxi Dress is easy to dress up or down for any occasion, I think it would be lovely to wear a wedding dressed up with heels, some bling and an elegant cover-up and could equally be worn to a picnic in the park, or for picking apples in the countryside with friends!
The Pink Clove Paisley Dita Wrap Maxi Dress is now my go-to for a quick and easy going out outfit and I have been very happy wearing it out. I award it 5 out of 5 stars.
