As we get closer and closer to Christmas I am taking the opportunity to fill my house with delicious festive smelling candles which illuminate the darker evenings and make me smile, so when  Valley Mill got in touch to see if I would like to try out their new range of Welsh Tapestry Tin Candles I was very happy to agree.

Valley Mill, started in 2007 by Kevin Thomas, is a Welsh company who produce lovely handmade, authentic products in their beautiful home and giftware ranges. Valley Mill started producing handmade soy wax candles in 2013 starting out with wood wick candles and since then they have grown the range which now includes tealights, wax melts and reed diffusers.

The Welsh Tapestry Tin Candles are made from all natural soy wax with fragrance oils and a cotton wick inside a beautifully decorated aluminium tin. They are all handmade in Wales using top quality wax which allows for a longer burn time (each 6oz tin burns for up to 30 hours) and a more prolific scent.

I chose to review 4 of the range of Welsh Tapestry Tin Candles:

  • Cranberry Gin Tin Candle – The Cranberry Gin candle boasts a very sweet scent that reminds me of fruity cocktails. The tin has a vibrant orangey red Welsh Tapestry pattern which makes me feel festive.
  • Holly Berry Tin Candle – This candle comes in a green Welsh Tapestry tin and has an intense scent of sultry greenery and pine reminiscent of a Christmas Tree but without the needles!
  • Spiced Apple Tin Candle – I have to admit this is my favourite fragrance out of all of the candles, it comes in a very Christmassy red tin and the scent is heavy with sweet apples and unmistakable cinnamon which creates a comforting and warming atmosphere.
  • Hoffi Coffe Tin Candle – This candle isn’t so festive as the others but it makes a great uplifting fragrance great for when you’re feeling a bit run down or in need of a mood boost. This candle comes in a mocha coloured Tapestry patterned tin and has an aroma reminiscent of coffee and walnut cake; sweet and almost cherry-like.

I have very much enjoyed testing out these fabulous Welsh Tapestry Tin Candles from Valley Mill which combine powerful fragrances which uplift, soothe and add a festive flavour to my house alongside an eye-pleasing exterior. I award them 5 out of 5 stars.
